We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Modern Music who will provide vision and leadership for modern worship music at the Sunday Worship service, and scheduling/overseeing the worship and tech teams, which are already robust and strong teams - Audio, Video, Musicians/Singers. Specifics of the position are outlined below. This person will work with the Head Pastor and other staff to lead us in living into our vision. We are looking for an outgoing self-starter who:

Job Description (Typically 15 hours/week)
- Plan out worship music for Sunday mornings in conjunction with the pastor and others.
- Choose songs for the band, create/edit and distribute chord charts and lead sheets in key appropriate for congregation and lead singer.
- Personal practice and lead weekly worship band rehearsals and empower others to grow in worship leadership as well.
- Oversee/schedule Sunday worship teams through the use of Planning Center Services to schedule Sunday worship teams – musicians, sound, and video – and provide needed resources for the worship team (sheet music, chord charts, parts, mp3, tutorials, etc.)
- Input song slides into Proclaim (projection software) and edit song structure.
- Lead the Worship Band and congregation in praise on Sundays through contemporary worship music and contemporary arrangements of more traditional hymns.
- Introduce new worship music that actively engages the church in worship while also utilizing familiar music that the congregation readily sings.
- Work with pastor and other staff to plan and lead occasional special services throughout the year (typically three, including Christmas Eve).
- Coordinate/schedule tech team and lead worship for occasional special services.
- Recruit/Train/Oversee/schedule Sunday worship technology teams: Soundboard, Proclaim, and live stream. Familiarity and growth in worship tech is helpful for the person in this role.
- Watch the livestream after Sunday and provide feedback to musicians, sound and video teams.
- Maintain consistent communication with the people of the various worship teams.
- Oversee the Modern Worship and Sound Room budgets.
- Oversee and work with others on repair, and new purchases of A/V and music equipment.
- Attend twice-per-month staff meetings, either in person or video
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree in music or worship leadership, and/or related experience.
- Experience leading modern worship with people of varying ages, in small and large group settings.
- Competent in/ability to learn Microsoft Offi ce, MS Teams, Planning Center (song/personnel scheduling), and Proclaim (projection software) or similar.

- Mature Christian, rooted in Scripture, who supports the vision and values of ECO and Rose Hill Church, including: Reformed, Evangelical, Egalitarian.
- A team player who puts the “success” of the church and the glory of Jesus above individual success and glory.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong organizational/planning skills.
- Musical worship leadership talents/abilities – singing required, with instrumental capabilities (guitar or keyboard) strongly preferred.
- Self-starter who takes initiative, but in a team context.
- Sense of humor.
- Ability to adjust to changing priorities and rescheduling of workload activities.
- Efficient problem solving and analytical skills.
- Organizational skills and close attention to detail.
- Able to exercise a high level of discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Serve as a representative of Jesus and Rose Hill Church in the broader community.
- Technical know-how for sound systems and worship space setup.
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
