Litigation Paralegal and Claims Support Specialist
New England Property Services Group, LLC is seeking a Litigation Paralegal and Claims Support Specialist to assist with legal, claim, file, and operational support involving residential property damage claims, insurance disputes, appraisal matters, litigation support, regulatory issues, and related business operations.
This is not a traditional law office position. NEPSG is a property restoration and insurance claim recovery company operating in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.
The company becomes the assignee of property damage insurance claims, typically involving roofing, siding, and interior water damages.
We are looking for someone who can read carefully, organize detailed records, draft or assist with legal and claim related documents, track deadlines, follow up without constant prompting, and support attorneys, ownership, appraisers, and internal staff.
Position Details
Title: Litigation Paralegal and Claims Support Specialist
Location: In office, Fall River, Massachusetts
Possible future location: Providence, Rhode Island area
Schedule: Full time preferred
Expected hours: 35 to 45 hours per week
Remote work: Limited and only by approval
Travel: Occasional travel within Massachusetts and Rhode Island may be required
Compensation: $22.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience, skill level, reliability, software proficiency, and ability to produce usable work
Benefits: NEPSG does not currently offer a traditional benefits package beyond compensation, although that may change as the company grows
Role Overview
The Litigation Paralegal and Claims Support Specialist will assist with litigation support, discovery, claim documentation, appraisal matters, insurance claim disputes, file organization, court filings, document preparation, deadline tracking, and internal legal operations.
The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a busy office environment where legal documents, insurance claim files, project records, photos, estimates, invoices, policies, contracts, pleadings, correspondence, and appraisal materials must be organized accurately and efficiently.
This role requires more than basic administrative experience.
We need someone who can take direction, ask questions, learn unfamiliar subject matter, follow written instructions, work with detailed records, and produce organized work for review by attorneys, ownership, or other staff.
Core Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include: Drafting correspondence, claim letters, demand letters, discovery requests, discovery responses, subpoenas, pleadings, motions, and related documents for review.
Assisting attorneys and ownership with litigation support, discovery, hearing preparation, deposition preparation, trial preparation, and document organization.
Reviewing, organizing, summarizing, and tracking claim materials, pleadings, appraisal documents, policies, estimates, invoices, payments, photographs, reports, and correspondence.
Creating timelines, indexes, exhibit lists, document binders, status reports, deadline charts, and task trackers.
Assisting with Rhode Island and Massachusetts court filings, court calendars, case tracking, and deadlines.
Maintaining organized electronic files using server folders, Google Drive, Clio, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and related systems.
Combining, splitting, reducing, OCR processing, bookmarking, renaming, and organizing PDF documents.
Scanning, saving, naming, and reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness.
Assisting with public records requests, regulatory research, factual research, claim research, and legal research when assigned.
Following up with attorneys, appraisers, insurers, clients, vendors, opposing counsel, court personnel, and internal staff when directed.
Attending court, property inspections, appraisals, meetings, business events, political events, or networking events when requested.
Maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, accuracy, and discretion at all times.
Required Qualifications
Prior paralegal, litigation support, legal assistant, claim support, insurance, construction, administrative, or document management experience.
Strong written communication skills.
Strong proofreading and attention to detail.
Ability to organize large volumes of documents, emails, photos, PDFs, and claim materials.
Ability to follow instructions and ask questions when something is unclear.
Ability to track deadlines, follow up dates, and assigned tasks.
Comfortable working in office in Fall River, Massachusetts.
Willing and able to work from a Providence, Rhode Island area office if NEPSG relocates in the future.
Reliable independent transportation during the workday.
Comfortable traveling within Massachusetts and Rhode Island when needed for company related purposes.

Litigation support.
Discovery requests and discovery responses.
Court filings and court deadline tracking. Insurance claim documentation.
Property damage claims.
Construction, restoration, roofing, siding, mitigation, remediation, or related fields.
Clio or other legal case management software.
Adobe Acrobat or other PDF software.
Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Google Drive and server folder organization.
AI tools such as ChatGPT, ClaudeAI, Microsoft Copilot, NotebookLM, Perplexity, Gemini, or similar tools for drafting, summarizing, organizing, or research support.
Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, Odyssey, or other legal research and court systems.

Transportation Requirement
This position requires reliable independent transportation.
Candidates must have access to their own reliable transportation during the workday so they can travel when needed for company related purposes, including court, property inspections, appraisals, client meetings, attorney meetings, office errands, document drop offs, supply pickups, networking events, political events, or other work related needs in Massachusetts or Rhode Island. Reliance on another person for drop off or pick up transportation may not be sufficient if it limits the candidate’s ability to be fully utilized during work hours.
