Duties
- Safely operate single-axle and tandem axle hook-lift trucks.
- Load and unload roll-off containers efficiently using mechanical skills and knowledge of heavy equipment.
- Drive commercial vehicles over short and long distances while following all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Assist with mechanical troubleshooting or minor repairs when necessary to keep equipment in optimal condition.
- Communicate effectively with the office, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and pickups promptly.
Requirements
- Valid CDL B license with a clean driving record; experience operating roll-off trucks, dump trucks, flatbeds or tractor-trailers is highly preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot issues.
- Proven experience in commercial driving or delivery roles involving heavy lifting and load handling.
- Ability to operate commercial vehicles confidently in various weather and road conditions.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and transportation regulations.
