Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and vehicles.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with diesel engines and vehicle systems.
- Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on diesel equipment.
- Repair or replace faulty components, such as fuel systems, brakes, and transmissions.
- Perform tire service, including mounting, balancing, and rotating tires.
- Weld and solder parts as needed for repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and answering questions.
Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair diesel engines.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues.
- Knowledge of diesel engine systems, including fuel, electrical, and cooling systems.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate repairs and maintenance.
- Good communication skills to interact with customers and explain repairs.
