Duties
- Safely operate ambulance vehicles during emergency and non-emergency transports, following all traffic regulations and safety protocols
- Assist medical personnel with patient loading, unloading, and securing in the ambulance, ensuring proper manual handling techniques
- Maintain clear communication with dispatchers, medical staff, and clients to coordinate timely pickups and drop-offs
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, maintenance checks, and ensure the ambulance is fully stocked with necessary supplies
- Navigate efficiently using GPS navigation systems to reach destinations promptly on local routes
- Provide excellent customer service by reassuring patients and communicating effectively with clients during transport
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Experience with GPS navigation systems and knowledge of local driving routes
- Familiarity with state transportation regulations and safety standards for passenger vehicles
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling when assisting patients or loading equipment
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and coordination with medical teams
- Strong adherence to traffic laws, safety procedures, and customer service standards
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing emergency situations effectively
