Responsibilities
- Provide professional hair styling, cutting, coloring, and hair extension services tailored to each client’s unique preferences.
- Perform barbering services including straight razor shaves, beard trims, and classic cuts with precision.
- Deliver expert nail care treatments such as manicures, pedicures, gel nails, and nail art to enhance client satisfaction.
- Create stunning braids and intricate hairstyles suitable for various occasions.
- Offer additional beauty services like makeup application, eyelash extensions, hair threading, and retail product recommendations.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning tools and workstations after each service.
- Engage with clients through effective communication to understand their needs and provide personalized recommendations.
- Manage appointment scheduling using salon software like MINDBODY or similar platforms to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Upsell retail products related to hair care, skincare, and nail care to enhance client experience and salon revenue.
- Assist with front desk duties when needed, including greeting clients and managing store management tasks.
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license with experience working in the beauty industry.
- Proficiency in salon software such as MINDBODY or equivalent for appointment management.
- Strong knowledge of hair care techniques including coloring, styling, extensions, and color theory principles.
- Skilled in barbering techniques such as straight razor shaves and traditional cuts.
- Experience performing nail treatments like manicures, pedicures, gel nails, and nail art.
- Familiarity with sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients.
- Knowledge of retail sales strategies including upselling and retail math to maximize sales opportunities.
- Ability to mentor junior team members and contribute positively to team morale.
- Strong understanding of store management practices to support daily operations seamlessly.
