A growing food manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead food safety, quality systems, and regulatory compliance initiatives across a multi-site network. This individual will oversee a team of quality professionals and work closely with operations, executive leadership, and regulatory agencies to ensure products, processes, and facilities meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Lead, develop, and mentor a team of Quality Assurance professionals

Oversee quality systems, food safety programs, and regulatory compliance activities across multiple facilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for FDA, USDA, and state regulatory agencies

Manage internal audits, customer audits, supplier audits, and regulatory inspections
-
Lead investigations, CAPA activities, and risk assessments
-
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, customer requirements, and SQF standards
-
Maintain quality documentation, traceability programs, and compliance reporting systems

Develop and deliver food safety and quality training programs
-
Monitor key quality metrics and provide updates to executive leadership

Partner with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives

Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Business, or a related field

7+ years of quality assurance, food safety, or regulatory compliance experience

Previous experience leading or managing a quality team

Strong knowledge of FDA, USDA, and food manufacturing regulations

Experience with audits, inspections, investigations, CAPA, and quality management systems

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

SQF Practitioner certification (current SQF Code)

Internal Auditor certification
-
PCQI certification
-
Food Defense Coordinator certification
-
HACCP or HARPC training
-
SAP experience
-
Experience with SQL, MS Access, or advanced Excel

Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations
This position combines office and plant-based responsibilities and includes travel to manufacturing and warehouse locations. Candidates should be comfortable working in production environments and collaborating with regulatory agencies, operational leaders, and cross-functional teams.
