Automotive Service Technician
AutoWorks is a Local independent automotive company who is seeking all levels of experienced, highly motivated automotive technician for our high-volume repair facility.
An automotive technician is responsible for the efficient diagnosis, repair and maintenance of a customer’s vehicle.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform Inspections and or repairs as outlined on repair order.
- Perform efficient and thorough vehicle inspections
- Perform scheduled maintenance on vehicles
- Perform Tire change and wheel balance
- Perform oil change service and tire rotation
- Research necessary repair procedures through Alldata, Mitchel ProDemand and Identifix. (The following repair guides are provided)
- Communicate clearly with service writers.
- Keep work area clean and working to prevent messes (equipment provided to achieve this goal)
- Keeping Customer vehicles clean.
- Be a team player.
- Ensure that toolbox is clean and organized
- Keep the provided tools and equipment in good condition and return them in their designated locations for other technician to have easy access of same benefits.
- Taking the proper safety precautions to ensure the safety of yourself and other arounds you.
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 3 years of experience as an automotive technician
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
- Knowledge of all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ensures that customer's cars are kept clean.
- Maintains stall in an orderly and clean manner.
- Ability to identify problems quickly.
- Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications.
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
Technician Levels
“B” Technician- The ability to perform repairs in Steering, Suspension and alignments, brake services and cooling systems. Scan tool knowledge.
“C” Technician- The ability to perform basic automotive maintenance services like oil services, Tire mounting and balancing and with some knowledge in steering suspension and brake services.
AutoWorks is a repair facility that wants each level of technician to feel confidence in there abilities and encourage growth.
Requirements

Schedule 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Pay Range: $19-$40 Per Hr
