Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader to oversee and coordinate landscape maintenance activities across various sites. Duties
- Supervise and direct a crew of landscape maintenance technicians to perform tasks such as mowing, pruning, planting, fertilizing, and irrigation system installation and repairs.
- Coordinate daily work schedules, assign tasks based on skill levels, and monitor progress to ensure timely project completion.
- Conduct plant identification and health assessments to recommend appropriate care or replacement strategies.
- Oversee irrigation management, ensuring systems are functioning correctly and efficiently across multiple construction projects.
- Perform quality control inspections to maintain high standards in landscaping, lawn care, plant care, and overall site appearance.
- Train team members on safety protocols, proper equipment use, and best practices in horticulture and maintenance techniques.
- Manage inventory of tools, equipment, plants, and supplies necessary for ongoing landscape projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping, or horticulture with a strong understanding of best practices.
- Supervising or team management experience in outdoor or construction environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting; experience with irrigation management is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a crew effectively while maintaining safety standards and quality workmanship.
- Construction experience related to projects or outdoor site development is advantageous.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate team members and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients, team members, and vendors.
