Job Summary
The Village of Batavia is seeking applications for a full time Service Worker 1 within the Public Works Department. The Village of Batavia offers full benefits such as health insurance , retirement ,paid holidays and paid vacation .
Duties
- Performs general maintenance on the streets. Patching potholes.
- Right-of -way clean up and mowing.
- Operate dump trucks and other equipment.
- Plow snow, salt, brine in the winter.
- Brush cleanup, chipping
- Facility/grounds maintenance.
- Storm culverts and catch basin maintenamce.
Experience
- Must have a valid commercial A or B drivers license (CDL) endorsement issued by the state of Ohio
- High school graduate.
- Familiarity with power equipment and tools.
- Previous public works experience is desired.
