American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a new Palliative Care unit, requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience and Epic proficiency.

Work setting is an inpatient hospital Palliative Care unit (11th floor)

Patient population includes those with serious illness requiring symptom management, such as uncontrolled pain, severe nausea/vomiting, failure to thrive, and fatigue
-
This is a newly opening unit; travelers starting before the unit opens will float to other inpatient units until orientation is complete
-
Floating to units of equivalent or lower acuity is required

Rotating day/night schedule (3x12-hour shifts); shift assignments are determined by department needs and reviewed every 4-week scheduling period

Day shift hours: 7:00–19:30; Night shift hours: 19:00–7:30

Epic EMR experience is required

Active OH or Compact RN license required

Current BLS certification required

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Epic EMR experience required

Previous travel nursing experience preferred

2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as a 2nd reference; co-worker references are not accepted

Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less

Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after accepting the position; candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location or will be mailed a fingerprinting packet to complete urgently
