Proven experience as a Body Shop Technician; experience in classic car restoration is highly preferred Knowledge of automotive paints, primers, and finishes as well as metal repair techniques Expertise in surface preparation, welding (TIG and MIG), and patch panel installation Familiarity with fiberglass work, especially with Corvettes, and custom metal projects Ownership of personal tools and reliable transportation Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet project deadlines A portfolio of past automotive painting or body shop work will be requested
Perform metal repair, welding, and installation of patch panels Paint classic vehicles with a focus on high-quality finishes, using both custom and restoration techniques Execute surface preparations including sanding, priming, and masking Operate painting equipment such as spray guns, compressors, and work in a controlled paint booth environment Follow OSHA safety regulations while maintaining an organized and clean workspace Document materials used, tasks completed, and time spent on each project in our computer system
