Hotel Beacon is seeking an experienced Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join our Housekeeping leadership team. We are looking for a hands-on hospitality professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences, maintaining the highest cleanliness standards, and leading a diverse team in a busy, full-service hotel environment.
About the Role
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Housekeeping, you will help oversee the daily operation of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring guest rooms and public areas consistently meet the hotel's quality standards. You will play a key role in supervising staff, maintaining productivity, supporting training initiatives, and ensuring efficient departmental operations.
Duties
- Supervise the daily operation of the Housekeeping Department.
- Assign and monitor workloads to maximize efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure brand and hotel standards are consistently achieved.
- Coach, mentor, and develop housekeeping team members.
- Participate in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training new associates.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback.
- Ensure the safe handling and proper use of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Assist with inventory management, purchasing, and departmental budgeting.
- Coordinate deep cleaning schedules and special projects.
- Work closely with Engineering, Laundry, and other hotel departments to support seamless operations.
- Assist with departmental meetings, forecasting, and operational planning.
Skills
- Previous hotel housekeeping supervisory or management experience required.
- Upscale hotel experience strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience with hotel Property Management Systems preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Fire Safety Certificate preferred.
- College degree preferred.

This is a full-time exempt management position. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts is required, as hotel operations run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
