We are seeking a motivated and skilled Low Voltage Technician II, also known as a Mid-Level or Independent Installer, to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot low voltage systems including CCTV, fiber optics, Ethernet cabling, and network wiring.
- Perform fiber splicing and cable terminations following industry standards such as NEC (National Electrical Code) guidelines.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to ensure accurate system installation and maintenance.
- Conduct network installation tasks involving Cisco routers, Juniper equipment, Avaya telephony systems, and VoIP solutions.
- Use diagnostic tools like ohmmeters, multimeters, and RF testers to identify issues within electrical and telecommunication systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on low voltage equipment in data centers or telecommunication rooms.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, including NEC regulations and local electrical codes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician or installer specializing in low voltage systems such as CCTV, networking, or telecommunication infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN (Local Area Network), Ethernet cabling (Cat5, Cat6), and network hardware configuration.
- Hands-on experience with fiber splicing, cable management, and network wiring techniques.
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately for system installation and troubleshooting purposes.
- Familiarity with electrical systems (AC/DC), power tools, hand tools, and electrical safety protocols.
- Knowledge of telephony systems including VoIP platforms like Avaya or similar providers.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; willingness to travel between job sites as needed.

Pay: $25.00 - $38.00 per hour
