Assembler Job Description:
PrideStaff is working with a local supplier who is seeking multiple Assemblers to join their team. The Assembler will use a variety of hand tools to assemble various parts onto roof hatches, smoke vents, and access panels while performing quality checks. The ideal Assembler has previous experience working with assembly, production, welding, machine operator, or similar roles while using a variety of hand tools and is able to read blueprints. The Assembler is a full-time, temporary to hire position in Brooklyn Park, MN.
Assembler Job Responsibilities:
- Read Blueprints & Understand Work Orders
- Utilize a Variety of Hand Tools to Assemble Various Parts Onto Roof Hatches, Smoke Vents, & Access Panels
- Assemble All Metal Hardware Including Hinges, Slam Latch, Spring Packages, & Pyro Latches
- Prepare Panels For Painting by Putting Insulation in & Hanging Panels on Hooks
- Package Completed Assemblies & Fill Orders
- Cross Train in Various Departments to Fill in When Needed
- Perform Spot Welding as Needed
- Follow All Safety & PPE Requirements
Assembler Requirements & Working Conditions:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
- Previous Experience With Welding, Assembling, Machine Operation, or Shipping Preferred
- Steel Toed Shoes Required
- Must be Able to Use Power Tools Including a Drill, Tape Measure, & Understand How to Read Blueprints
- Must be Able to Work in a Warehouse Without Air Conditioning
- Must be Flexible to Work Overtime on Fridays & Saturdays
- Must be Able to Lift up to 50lbs & Walk, Stand For Extended Periods
- Demonstrates Excellent Time Management & Attention to Detail
