Under the supervision of the Fiscal Analyst/Manager, the Finance Support Technician performs a variety of clerical and technical tasks involving the preparation and maintenance of fiscal or related records. This is a Part time 10 hours/week, non-exempt position. Possibility for more hours in the future.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Possess knowledge of current rules, regulations, and procedures governing the accounting field.

Assist with the preparation for annual audit and reviews.

Perform other duties necessary to the efficient operation of the agency as required.
Finance Department Support

Assist and support Accounting Specialists and Fiscal Analyst
-
Organize and manage staff reimbursements.
-
Manage Microix, the Purchase Order software.
-
Assist with year-end items, including Audit.
-
Other clerical duties as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
High School graduate or equivalent
-
5+ years of office experience
-
Ability to organize and schedule complex tasks, develop and maintain tracking systems, communicate and receive complex instruction and complete tasks that require high levels of interdependence on other team members.

Reading skills to understand instruction manuals, procedure manuals, codes and computer manuals.

Computer skills for data entry and software management
-
Ability to treat matters in a confidential manner, i.e. payroll, billings, accounts payable.

Must be willing to work flexible schedule as the need arises.

Reliable transportation to drive to and from Eureka and Arcata. Mileage is reimbursable.

Possession of:

valid driver’s license

evidence of current automobile liability insurance

good driving record.
Physical Requirements

Must successfully complete a health screening no later than 7 days following the date of hire.

Physical ability to lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds.

Physical agility to bend, stoop, walk upstairs, reach overhead, push/pull, squat, twist, and turn.
Health and Safety Training Requirements

Must have a current Criminal Record Clearance with current Child Abuse Index Check on file with Community Care Licensing, or provide fingerprints and a Child Abuse Index Check prior to the first day of work in order to obtain a Criminal Record Clearance from the Department of Justice.
