Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Housekeeping Inspector to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety within our hospitality environment. In this vital role, you will oversee the quality of housekeeping services, conduct thorough inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, and ensure compliance with brand standards and health regulations. You must have a valid driver's license, be able to pass a background check. We also will provide you with a company vehicle to use during business hours.
Duties
- Perform detailed inspections of guest rooms, suites, and public areas to verify cleanliness, safety, and overall presentation according to established standards.
- Identify areas needing attention or improvement, providing clear feedback to housekeeping staff for prompt resolution.
- Ensure all cleaning procedures—including floor care, surface sanitation, and waste disposal—are executed effectively and efficiently.
- Monitor adherence to safety protocols, proper use of cleaning chemicals, and equipment handling to maintain a safe environment for staff and guests.
- Conduct routine audits of janitorial supplies and equipment, reporting shortages or maintenance needs promptly.
- Document inspection results accurately, maintain detailed records of deficiencies, corrective actions taken, and follow-up inspections.
- Collaborate with housekeeping management to develop training programs that enhance team performance and uphold quality standards.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial roles within hospitality or industrial settings.
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques and sanitation procedures essential for maintaining high-traffic areas.
- Previous hotel experience or familiarity with hospitality industry standards is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify cleanliness issues quickly and accurately.
- Effective communication skills to provide constructive feedback and coordinate with housekeeping teams.
- Ability to manage multiple inspections efficiently while maintaining a lively, positive attitude.
