In this contract role, you’ll collaborate with general education students to provide both individual and group social-emotional support, empowering young learners to thrive. You’ll also play a key part in supporting classroom environments, assisting with professional learning, and helping implement positive behavior initiatives across schools.

- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field (required)
- Valid and active LARA license per Michigan guidelines
- Michigan Department of Education (MDE) School Psychologist or School Social Worker Credential, or:
- Licensed/limited licensed Master's level psychologist or social worker
- Licensed/limited licensed marriage and family therapist
- Licensed/limited licensed professional counselor
- School Counselor License or any qualifying school counseling/teaching credentials with required endorsements
- If holding a Temporary/Preliminary School Counselor Credential: Commitment to complete requirements for LLPC/LPC within 24 months
- Experience working in K-12 settings, with a positive, collaborative approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Your key responsibilities:
- Directly support general education students through individual and group counseling
- Deliver proactive social-emotional programs and professional development for staff
- Collaborate with educators to create inclusive, supportive learning environments
- Participate in implementing evidence-based behavior interventions and positive behavior supports
