Room Attendant – Springfield, MO
Penmac Staffing is now hiring dependable and detail-oriented Room Attendants for various local hotels in Springfield, MO. This temp-to-hire opportunity is ideal for individuals who take pride in creating a clean and welcoming environment for guests. Schedules vary, but weekend availability, including Sundays is required.
Responsibilities for Room Attendants:
- Clean guest rooms and bathrooms, restock supplies, and replace linens.
- Vacuum carpets, rugs, and upholstered furniture.
- Sweep, mop, wax, and polish floors using appropriate equipment.
- Dust furniture and polish metalwork.
- Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
- Replace light bulbs and hang draperies as needed.
- Move and arrange furniture and deliver items such as cribs or roll-away beds.
- Maintain cleanliness in hallways, lobbies, lounges, elevators, and other common areas.
- Safely handle cleaning chemicals and follow safety procedures.
- Greet guests warmly and professionally.
- Perform other housekeeping duties as assigned.
Requirements for Room Attendants:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least 1 year of housekeeping experience in a hotel setting required.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks such as kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, and climbing.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Weekends and Holidays Required
Schedule & Pay:
- Pay: $15/hour
- Schedule: Varies; weekend availability required
