Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Staff to join our team in providing exceptional support and care to individuals with diverse needs. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Provide personal care and companionship to promote dignity and independence among residents.
- Monitor residents’ vital signs and health status regularly, reporting any changes or concerns to nursing staff or supervisors promptly.
- Administer medications following prescribed protocols and document medication administration accurately.
- Support residents with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and ensuring proper nutrition tailored to individual dietary needs.
- Engage residents in social activities and therapeutic programs to foster mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and shared spaces.
- Follow all safety procedures including first aid protocols and emergency response plans to ensure resident safety at all times.
- Document care provided accurately in compliance with facility policies and state regulations.
- Support residents with behavioral management strategies.
- Assist with transportation needs such as driving residents to appointments, day program or community outings when required.
- Ability to be flexible in work schedule and provide overtime hours periodically is highly preferred.
- High school diploma/GED required.
Experience
- Previous experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care group homes is highly preferred..
- Experience assisting individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities is advantageous.
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures and vital signs monitoring is essential.
- Proven ability to work effectively in group home settings or personal care homes while maintaining professionalism and compassion.
- Prior caregiving experience involving behavior management techniques for residents with cognitive impairments is beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license, proof of auto liability insurance and clean driving record are required for roles involving transportation responsibilities.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
