We are seeking a Dental Office Manager to lead operations, support our team, and help drive continued growth.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- $30 - $37 per hour, based on directly relevant experience

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Dental Office Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the dental practice, including scheduling, patient flow, team management, insurance coordination, and financial performance.
This role requires a strong leader with experience in dental office management, dental insurance, scheduling optimization, and patient coordination.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations & Scheduling:
- Manage daily dental office operations and ensure efficient patient flow
- Optimize scheduling for maximum productivity and production goals
- Maintain a productive schedule and reduce gaps and cancellations
- Monitor KPIs including production, collections, and case acceptance
Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage front desk and administrative team
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, and staff training
- Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment
- Conduct team meetings and ensure accountability
Patient Experience & Front Desk Management:
- Deliver an exceptional patient experience from check-in to check-out
- Handle patient concerns and escalations professionally
- Support treatment plan presentation and case acceptance
Insurance, Billing & Collections:
- Submit and manage dental insurance claims (PPO and Medicaid) accurately and efficiently
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to treatment
- Handle pre-authorizations, claim submissions, and insurance follow-ups
- Resolve claim denials and outstanding insurance issues
- Manage patient billing, collections, and accounts receivable
- Ensure accurate posting of insurance payments and adjustments
- Communicate clearly with patients regarding insurance coverage and financial responsibility
Compliance & Administration:
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and dental regulations
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental practice management software
- Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor coordination
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 2 years of dental front-office experience, including supervisory, team lead, or office management responsibilities
- Hands-on experience submitting and following up on dental insurance claims required
- Strong working knowledge of PPO dental insurance plans required
- Experience with Maryland Medicaid dental claims strongly preferred
- Strong experience with billing, collections, and treatment coordination
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dental environment
