Accounting Manager/Controller : Roscoe, IL
We are seeking an Accounting Manager/Controller to oversee financial operations, lead the accounting team, and serve as a key business partner to company leadership. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and accounting staff
- Partner with Human Resources on payroll, employee benefits, and related reporting
- Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts and oversee month-end and year-end close processes
- Complete journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards
- P repare annual audit schedules, compensation analyses, and other financial reports
- Administer business insurance programs and assist with employee benefit plans, including 401(k) and health insurance
- Manage year-end payroll reporting, including W-2s, 1095s, and other required tax documents
- Ensure timely filing of sales tax, 1099s, state filings, and other regulatory requirements
- Review customer credit applications and establish appropriate credit limits
- Collaborate cross-functionally to reconcile financial activity and improve accounting processes
Skills & Experience :
- Education : Bachelor's degree in Accounting , Finance, or a related field , required ; CPA or CMA designation preferred
- Experience : 4 + years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment , required . 3+ years of management experience, required .
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles, required .
- Software: ERP/accounting software experience, required . Advanced MS Office and proficiency in MS Excel, required .
