Summary:

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, provides patient treatment and therapy by following an established plan of care directed and supervised by an OTR/L. Responsible for mentoring Assistants, Technicians, and Students. Collaborates with other healthcare team members and physicians in a multi-disciplinary fashion to deliver the highest quality of care. Participates in CQI activities. Facilitates the provision of excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
1. Provides patient therapy and treatment.
a. Utilizes judgment and skills in implementing treatment plans.
- Physician communication is timely and documentation is up to date.
- Participates in CQI activities.
2. Facilitates the provision of excellent customer service

- Monitors and holds co-workers accountable.
- Teamwork
- Answers questions. Communicates hospital and departmental information.

Mentors students and other rehab services personnel as assigned.

EDUCATION
- Associate Degree from an Accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program.

Current NC Board of Occupational Therapy license. Occupational Therapist Assistant license or eligible.
