The Town of Aberdeen is currently seeking a qualified applicant to fill the full-time position of Sanitation Maintenance Worker. This position will perform duties in the collection of garbage and recyclables. Position will also assist other Public Works crews performing work such as mowing, weed-eating, edging, leaf and yard debris removal, asphalt work, streets and roads assistance, etc.
Interested applicants should possess the following requirements:
· Must possess a valid NC Driver’s License
· Must be able to obtain Commercial Driver’s License within 6 months of employment
· Must pass a Pre-employment Drug Screen
· Must pass a Background Investigation
· Must have a clean driving history
Salary hiring range: $17.84 - $20.00/hour. Benefits include longevity pay, member of Local Governmental Employees Retirement System, 5% 401-k contribution, health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, retiree medical insurance paid up to 50% upon retirement, progressive career development program opportunities, and paid vacation and sick leave.
