Transformations Counseling Group is seeking a Couples Counselor / Relationship Therapist who enjoys working with couples and wants to grow in this clinical specialty.
This is a couples-focused clinical role with a primarily couples caseload. We are looking for someone who has experience working with couples, relationship conflict, communication issues, trust injuries, emotional disconnection, family stress, or recurring patterns that leave partners feeling stuck.
You do not need to be certified in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Prior EFT training or attachment-based couples therapy experience is a plus, but it is not required. What matters most is that you are comfortable working with couples, managing emotional intensity, slowing conflict down, and helping partners communicate more clearly and honestly.
Expected Hours
- Part-time: minimum 20 hours/week
- Full-time: minimum 35 hours/week
Schedule Requirements
- Availability for 3 weekday evenings per week
- Availability for 1 weekend day per week
- We do our best to be flexible with scheduling, but we cannot guarantee specific days.
What This Role Includes
- Primarily couples caseload
- Full caseload provided
- Weekly group supervision
- Clinical supervision available for Limited Permit clinicians
- Collaborative case consultation with experienced therapists
- Support in developing couples therapy skills
- Structured documentation and outcome tracking
- Administrative and billing support
Requirements
- LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or Limited Permit clinician eligible to provide psychotherapy under supervision in New York
- Experience or strong interest in working with couples, relationship conflict, family systems, communication issues, or attachment-based therapy
- Comfort working with emotionally intense sessions
- Strong clinical presence
- Ability to slow down reactive conversations and help clients communicate more clearly
