We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and recovery-oriented Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to join our growing team.
Position Summary
The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) plays a vital role in supporting clients throughout their recovery journey. Working closely with the clinical team, BHTs help provide a safe, structured, and supportive environment while assisting clients with daily activities, treatment engagement, transportation, recovery support, and community integration.
Key Responsibilities
· Support clients in achieving treatment and recovery goals.
· Provide transportation to appointments, recovery meetings, and approved activities.
· Orient new clients to program expectations and services.
· Conduct Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) and maintain proper chain-of-custody procedures.
· Assist clients with treatment plan goals, recovery planning, relapse prevention, and community reintegration
· Support participation in AA, NA, SMART Recovery, and other recovery-support activities.
· Document client interactions and services accurately and timely in Kipu.
· Monitor client safety and respond appropriately to emergencies.
· Communicate client progress, concerns, and observations to the treatment team.
· Attend staff meetings, trainings, and required in-service education.
Qualifications
· Registered or enrolled with an approved drug and alcohol certification program (RADT, CADC, or equivalent).
· Experience working with individuals affected by substance use disorders preferred.
· Comfortable working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
· Understanding of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) preferred.
· Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to remain calm and professional during crisis situations.
