As a Guest Service Agent, you will be the vibrant face of our hospitality team, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive. Adhere to all Company policies and procedures. Implement Company policies as they relate to customer service and front-office controls.
Adhere to and implement departmental policies and procedures for telephone, front office, reservations, sundry and guest transportation.
Be knowledgeable of the hotel's room rates and how they are applied. Comply with hotel's rate-management policies and procedures.
Maximize hotel revenues from the rental of guestrooms and suites.
Participate in Company-Sponsored continuing education and training programs.
Represent the hotel with enthusiasm, professionalism and businesslike appearance and demeanor to all hotel guests, clients, prospective clients, agents and the community.
Provide friendly and courteous telephone service.
Maintain good working relationships with Company employees.
Maintain the confidentiality of proprietary Company information, including, but not limited to, hotel performance statistics, information about agreements with clients information about prospective business, hotel financial information and employee personal and salary information throughout and after employment by the hotel.
Be knowledgeable on hotel safety, security and emergency equipment and procedures. Implement and enforce the departmental policies and procedures described in the company's Safety, Security and Emergency Procedures Manual.
Correct and repot safety hazards within the immediate work areas lobby and surrounding areas.
Maintain the security of guestroom and administrative keys.
Achieve the Standards of Performance for this position.
Be knowledgeable on this area's attractions, events and activities.
Must be available to work late nights (up to 11:30pm)
What you’ll do
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out processes.
- Participate in staff meetings as directed by management.
- Perform as the hotel manager on duty in the absence of a supervisor.
- Report to management all comments and prospective customers that affect the Company's image or services.
- Perform clerical tasks related to front-office, telephone, reservations and guest transportation functions.
- Make credit and payment arrangements with the hotel's customers in accordance with Company policies. Collect advance deposits and other payment from customers. Control and safe-guard the payment of funds from customers.
- Actively participate in special sales promotion activities, such as telemarketing and sales blitzes.
- Assist the accounting department in accurately processing accounts receivable.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
