Responsibilities

- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, kitchen equipment, and utensils to uphold food safety standards
- Support food handling procedures, including proper storage and sanitation practices
- Assist with dishwashing duties to ensure timely availability of clean cookware and utensils
- Follow safety protocols related to knife skills, food preparation, and kitchen operations
- Contribute to menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation methods
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or the food industry is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is key
- Knowledge of food handling safety practices and food safety regulations
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with meal preparation techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards supporting kitchen operations
- Experience with dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus but not required
- Willingness to perform dishwashing duties and assist with general kitchen cleanup
