Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic, highly organized, and data-driven Marketing, Media, and Event Coordinator to join our growing team. In this role, you will be the multi-talented force driving our brand presence forward across our digital channels, regional fi eld activations, and our on-site cannabis smoking lounge.
A core pillar of this position is maintaining a dominant, active presence on social media and at events. You will spearhead our Instagram strategy to ensure continuous brand exposure and deep community engagement while leveraging cannabis tech platforms like Alpine IQ and Sparkplug to build loyalty and incentivize frontline staff. Because the cannabis consumption lounge landscape is highly regulated, you must be a flexible self-starter who knows how to cultivate a vibrant online and offline community while strictly adhering to compliance laws.
Duties
1. CRM, Loyalty, & Incentive Management
- Digital Outreach & Automation: Own the execution of SMS, MMS, and email marketing campaigns utilizing Alpine IQ to drive lounge event ticket sales, announce product drops, and boost customer retention.
- Loyalty Program Growth: Manage and optimize customer segmenting, rewards tiers, and audience lists within Alpine IQ to target lounge visitors and retail clients with tailored promotions.
- Budtender & Staff Incentives: Build, launch, and track sales incentive campaigns through Sparkplug to motivate on-site lounge hosts, budtenders, and brand ambassadors.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Review data analytics from Sparkplug and Alpine IQ to measure the direct ROI of marketing campaigns, event attendance, and staff performance.
2. Lounge Programming & Event Coordination
- Lounge Event Production: Coordinate, plan, and host a regular calendar of engaging, compliant events within our cannabis smoking lounge (e.g., product launch parties, puff-and-paint nights, educational workshops, industry mixers, and live entertainment).
- On-Site Hospitality & Execution: Act as the lead coordinator and host during lounge events, ensuring top-tier guest experiences, managing registration/ticketing, and coordinating logistics with internal lounge staff.
- Off-Site Regional Activations: Coordinate the setup, execution, and breakdown for external B2B and B2C events, dispensary pop-ups, trade shows, and community partnerships.
3. Social Media Management, Exposure, & Engagement
- Continuous Exposure Strategy: Own the scheduling, execution, and optimization of daily Instagram/Snapchat (and other social media as directed) grid posts, Stories, and Reels to ensure our brand remains top-of-mind and consistently visible in user feeds.
- Active Community Engagement: Actively manage inbound communication on Instagram/Snapchat (and other social media as directed) by responding promptly to comments, direct messages, and brand mentions to build a loyal, interactive digital community.
- Trend Monitoring & Growth: Stay ahead of fast-moving social media trends, popular audio loops, and cannabis cultural moments to creatively insert our lounge and product brand into relevant conversations.
- Shadowban & Compliance Mitigation: Intelligently draft captions, utilize hashtags, and tag imagery in a way that maximizes organic reach while navigating strict metaplatform guidelines regarding cannabis censorship.
4. Vendor Promotions & Financial ROI Tracking
- Promotion Coordination: Coordinate with brand partners and external distributors to build out promotional calendars, product samplings, and cooperative lounge activations.
- Compliance Auditing: Ensure all event-related menu discounts and vendor payouts are recorded transparently in the POS system according to state-mandated traceability rules.
- ROI Evaluation: Measure the precise return on investment (ROI) for each vendor and/or company-backed event by comparing campaign costs and promotional payouts against fi nal sales volume data.
5. Online Menus & Digital Presence Management
- E-Commerce & Live Menu Updates: Maintain and audit live product menus across internal and external digital e-commerce marketplaces (e.g., Dutchie, Weedmaps, Leafly) to ensure pricing, photos, THC/CBD percentages, and strain descriptions are fl awless and up to date.
- Local Directory Audits: Monitor and manage local search engine presence—including Google Business Profile, Apple Maps, and local directory citations—to keep lounge hours, event dates, addresses, and holiday schedules accurate.
- Review Moderation: Track online reviews and customer feedback across public boards, coordinating with Head of Marketing to craft responses with a professional brand voice and routing service issues to the proper managers.
- Digital Asset Continuity: Ensure all online banners, announcement widgets, and promotional landing pages match current lounge events and fi eld marketing initiatives.
Travel & Field Expectations (Up to 40%)
- Regional Field Presence: Travel throughout the designated region to visit retail partners, source event vendors, and represent the brand at industry functions.
- On-Site Execution: Transport, set up, and tear down physical marketing and event materials (tents, banners, tables, promo items) for both off-site and on-site lounge activations.
- Schedule Flexibility: Must be willing and able to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, to align with peak event schedules and lounge operating hours.
Requirements
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age to comply with state cannabis operational licensing.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Accounting, Hospitality, Event Management, or an equivalent combination of hands-on fi eld experience.
- Experience: 2–4 years of demonstrated experience managing social media accounts, creating digital content, or coordinating events.
- Digital Menu & SEO Literacy: Hands-on experience working with cannabis marketplace menus (Dutchie, Weedmaps) and managing directory listings (Google Business Profile).
- Technical Cannabis Tech Stack: Proven experience working with cannabis CRM/loyalty software (Alpine IQ, Springbig, or similar) and gamified sales incentive tools (Sparkplug).
- Financial Literacy: Strong foundational understanding of promotional math, spreadsheet management (Excel/Google Sheets), and inventory tracking.
- Advanced Instagram Literacy: Deep knowledge of Instagram’s cannabis algorithms, reel editing, community management strategies, and analytics tracking toolsets.
- Mobility: Possession of a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and a reliable vehicle capable of transporting event materials.
- Communication: Elite writing capabilities tailored to brand voice, paired with energetic interpersonal skills and a hospitality-first mindset.
