Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate educational activities that promote early childhood learning and development.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring their safety and engagement at all times.
- Support children with daily routines such as meal times, diapering, nap times, and transitions between activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences.
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures, to ensure a secure environment for children.
- Support classroom management strategies to foster positive behavior and social skills among children.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, or nannying is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) to respond effectively in emergencies.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- Ability to follow mandated reporting laws related to child safety and well-being.
- Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration.
- Classroom experience with toddlers or infants is desirable; familiarity with behavior management techniques is beneficial.
