Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and caring Community Habilitation Worker to join our team. In this role, you will empower individuals with diverse needs—such as autism, intellectual disabilities, and neurodevelopmental disorders—by supporting their daily activities, fostering social skills, and encouraging independence within the community. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through direct support and personalized care.
Responsibilities:
- Support clients in developing social skills and engaging in community activities to promote social inclusion.
- Implement behavior management strategies tailored to individual needs, especially for clients with behavioral health challenges.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure consistent and supportive care.
- Monitor client progress and document observations accurately to inform care plans.
- Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of special education principles and behavior management techniques.
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating standard passenger cars for personal transportation assistance.
- Childcare experience is an added advantage for working with younger clients or families.
- Experience and driving strongly preferred but not required.
- Good English communication skills a must.
