For Database migration from Sybase to MSSQL project, candidate responsible for modifying the C++ batch job for DB migration changes and test it end to end.
Work closely with cross-functional/integration teams to plan testing of batch jobs. Deploy the changes to production
Must Haves:
Strong proficiency in C++ & VC++, C++ batch jobs.
Strong experience in Linux, Unix & shell scripting.
Experience on Database migration projects from application perspective (not DBA)
Working experience in MKS Toolkit, Orbix & AIX C++ compiler.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with product owners, designers, and other stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.
Ensure code quality and compliance through code reviews and best practices.
Manage version control and merging processes using GitHub.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Bamboo.
Manage artifact repositories and environment configurations using CloudForge.
Develop and maintain APIs, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices.
Utilize Splunk for log retrieval, troubleshooting, and alert management.
Experience in windows application development using C++ client server
Monitor and optimize application performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly.
Nice To Haves:
Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes for serverless applications via AWS CDK.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an Agile team environment.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (e.g., Bamboo, CloudForge, GitHub Actions).
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $31.78/hour - $49.66/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
