Part-Time Self-Defense Instructor (Kids Program)Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Self-Defense Instructor to lead after-school classes for elementary and middle school students. This part-time role is ideal for someone who is passionate about teaching martial arts, enjoys working with children, and is committed to building confidence, discipline, and respect in a safe, positive environment.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1:15 PM-3:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging self-defense and martial arts classes for children.
- Teach proper techniques while maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Encourage confidence, discipline, and personal growth through positive coaching.
- Adapt instruction to students of varying ages and skill levels.
- Maintain professionalism and represent the school positively.
Qualifications
- Experience teaching self-defense, martial arts, or a related discipline.
- Experience working with children is required.
- Experience in Krav Maga is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and classroom management skills.
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
Independent Contractor Requirements
- This position is offered as an independent contractor (1099) role and is not an employee position.
- Applicants must maintain their own general liability insurance and provide proof of coverage before beginning instruction.
- Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, licenses, and any other applicable business requirements.
