Duration & Type: 6+ months Contract with a major pharmaceutical industry client
Location: Emeryville, CA 94608 – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote
Responsibilities:
- Ensure Immunoassay Standard Costs are meeting approved budgets and interim forecasts.
- Communicate issues and resolutions to GDS Industrial management in a timely manner.
- Provide financial support to GDS Industrial groups and assisting the Finance Director in: Budgeting, Planning
Financial analysis, Management reporting, Capital expenditure modeling, Improvement of the finance systems and processes
- Rsponsible for development of production costs and monthly accounting adjustments for Immunoassay inventory related accounts in GDS.
Required:
- Education:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance – Required, Masters or CPA – Preferred
- 8-10 years Finance or Cost Accounting experience, preferably within a pharmaceutical organization
- Ability to evaluate and rapidly respond to special requests for information and/or solutions directed from all facets and levels within the Industrial organization.
- SAP experience required
- Cost accounting and inventory experience
- Industry knowledge and experience
- Experience working with internal customers
- Highly motivated with an inquisitive/curious nature
- Solid analytical and presentation skills
- Strong financial planning and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Able to provide challenge to business partners
- Advance proficiency in MS Office suite programs (Excel & PowerPoint)
