Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare patients for treatments, explaining procedures and answering questions
- Administer injections and medications as directed
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with electronic health documentation
- Educate patients on treatment plans and provide instructions for follow-up care.
- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling insurance verifications.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Provide exceptional patient service and ensure a comfortable experience
Preferred (Not Required) – Pain Management Experience
Candidates with experience in pain management, orthopedics, neurology, or physical medicine will be strongly valued. Helpful experience includes:
- Supporting chronic pain workflows and patient education
- Assisting with trigger point injections, joint injections, or interventional pain procedures
- Familiarity with opioid safety protocols, PDMP checks, and documentation requirements
- Comfort working with patients experiencing acute or chronic pain
Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent training
- Experience in pain management or a similar medical specialty preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail
- Proficiency in medical terminology and patient care procedures
