American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week travel contract in California, requiring a CA RN license and a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.

Work in an ICU within an acute care hospital setting
-
Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
-
Every other Saturday and Sunday required
-
Holiday coverage required as needed
-
Active CA RN license required
-
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
-
PALS certification required within 180 days of hire
-
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) required within 180 days of hire
-
NIHSS certification required within 90 days of hire
-
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
-
2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration

Copies of all certifications required for consideration

Responsible for assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care

Develops, implements, and coordinates individualized plans of care incorporating psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors

Fosters collaborative relationships between patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers through timely communication

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; candidates within 50 miles should inquire about local rates
-
Former employees of this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
-
No RTO will be approved from May through August; only 1 holiday RTO request will be approved
