Job Summary
Experience a must. We are looking for a meticulous, detail-oriented individual to join our team for Back of House prep and weekend dinner specials. We work with exceptionally high-quality, premium ingredients, so we need someone who is deeply conscientious about waste management and committed to keeping food costs down.
In this role, strict portion control and beautiful food presentation are absolute priorities. Every plate leaving our kitchen must meet our high standards for consistency, accuracy, and visual appeal. While this is primarily a kitchen support role, exceptional customer service is a core value of our business—everyone on our team represents our brand and may interact directly with customers at any time.
Schedule
- Thursday: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM (Prep)
- Friday: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM (Prep)
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Prep / Weekend Specials)
- Sunday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Prep / Weekend Specials)
- Total: 14 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Portion Control & Presentation: Meticulously follow recipes and portioning guidelines to ensure consistency, eliminate waste, and maintain our high standards of visual food presentation on every dish.
- Waste Reduction & Cost Control: Handle premium, high-cost ingredients with precision, maintaining strict inventory consciousness and minimizing trim or product loss during prep and service.
- Food Preparation: Execute daily prep work, ingredient organization, and assembly accurately while adhering to strict quality and safety standards.
- Weekend Specials: Assist in preparing and executing unique weekend dinner specials with consistency, care, and attention to detail.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized workspace, ensuring proper food storage, rotation (FIFO), and compliance with food safety regulations.
- Customer Interaction: Greet customers warmly and professionally whenever front-of-house interaction occurs, upholding our commitment to exceptional guest service.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members and management to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience in a commercial kitchen or food prep environment with a strong eye for detail, food presentation, and accurate portioning.
- A deep respect for quality ingredients, with a proven track record of minimizing waste and managing food costs.
- A strong customer-first attitude with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs), and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable, punctual, and highly organized.
Pay $14-$16 per hour plus tips.
