POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Job Title: Special Education Bus Aide (Anticipated)
Opening Date: August 24, 2026
Closing Date: Until filled
Salary: based on BCS Salary Schedule
Expected Workday: 4 hours per day
Terms of Employment: 9-Month
Reports To: Director of Transportation
Job Goals:
· To assist in providing safe transportation of students to and from school
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Must meet background clearance requirements as specified by Alabama statutes and state Board of Education regulations
· Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
Performance Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
· Assists young or disabled students or
· Assists in maintaining discipline on the school bus
· Assists in maintaining safety of students
· Helps ensure compliance with all safety precautions
· Performs related work as required
· Files necessary paperwork and assists in maintaining files
· Follows all school board policies
· Other duties as may be assigned by transportation supervisor
Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Boaz City Board of Education.
