Responsibilities
- Operate large-format printers, digital presses, and screen printing equipment with precision and care to produce vibrant, accurate prints.
- Interpret production documents, including layouts, specifications, and technical instructions, to ensure flawless execution of print projects.
- Manage color management processes to maintain consistency and quality across all printed materials.
- Perform machine setup, calibration, and routine maintenance on industrial equipment such as flexo presses, CNC machines, and prepress software tools.
- Execute cutting, paper binding, and finishing tasks to prepare final products for delivery or distribution.
- Conduct quality control checks throughout the production process to identify and correct issues promptly.
- Collaborate with graphic designers using Adobe Creative Suite and other graphic design software to review layouts and ensure print readiness.
- Adjust mechanical components and troubleshoot technical issues on press operation and manufacturing equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols related to industrial equipment operation.
- Support manufacturing workflows by interpreting technical drawings and ensuring production timelines are met efficiently.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating printing machinery such as large-format printers, flexo presses, or CNC equipment in a manufacturing or print shop environment.
- Strong understanding of color management principles and print quality control standards.
- Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Knowledge of prepress processes and prepress software for preparing files for printing.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to adjust industrial equipment and perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Familiarity with layout design principles, typography, print advertising requirements, and machining techniques.
- Ability to interpret technical documents accurately and follow detailed instructions precisely.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with technical proficiency in digital printing, screen printing, flexo presses, and CNC machinery.
- Physical capability to handle materials such as paper stacks or large-format media; forklift certification is a plus but not required.
