Job Summary
We are seeking an Inventory & Purchasing Specialist in Dublin, CA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented operations professional with experience supporting inventory control, purchasing, vendor coordination, and production planning activities in a manufacturing or production environment.
The Inventory & Purchasing Specialist will play an important role in keeping materials available, purchasing activity organized, and inventory records accurate. This opportunity offers a collaborative, team-focused work environment where communication, accountability, and proactive problem solving are valued.
Must be OK with making occasional deliveries to local vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order fulfillment (Using Sage System and through vendor portals)
- Electrical Construction Industry background preferred
- Customer Submittals
- Maintaining Inventory (entering requisitions in Sage System, doing Physical Counts)
- Pulling Permits/Scheduling Finals with Cities/Counties
- Vehicle Maintenance (follow up on truck maintenance, recalls, inventory, repairs etc)
- Warehouse safety inspections and maintaining small tool inventory
- Printing Production (Using printing machine for construction signs)
- Maintaining Certifications (Review and maintain roster of certification for electricians, assisting with renewals)
- Create, track, and follow up on purchase orders while maintaining accurate purchasing and inventory records.
- Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, lead times, order status, and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with production, operations, warehouse, and accounting teams to support material flow and resolve discrepancies.
- Review inventory data, usage trends, and stock levels to help prevent shortages, overstock, and production delays.
- Assist with cycle counts, inventory adjustments, documentation, and process improvements related to purchasing and inventory control.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $28.00 to $32.00 per hour.
- Location: Dublin, CA.
