The Outpatient Pharmacist – Compliance Packaging supports a high-volume outpatient pharmacy processing approximately 1,300 prescriptions per day. Following training, this hybrid role offers the opportunity to work primarily remotely while providing patient-focused pharmacy services entirely by phone. Caregivers rotate through five key functions over an eight-week cycle, including clinical order review, refill requests, prior authorizations and clinical inquiries, medication therapy management (MTM), and onboarding new patients through medication synchronization.
This is a full-time role. A caregiver in this position will work Monday through Friday, no weekends, no holiday, no call. This will be working 8 hour shifts between 7:00am and 6:00pm. Rotations will occur through 5 different job responsibilities in an 8 week period. Hybrid – 1 week onsite, 7 weeks at home. Onsite will be located at CC Administrative Campus located in Beachwood, OH.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Provide pharmacy services and ensure the appropriate selection, dosing, administration and dispensing of medication orders.
- Provide safe, efficient, patient-centered, evidence-based medication services.

Verify medication orders and/or dispense medications accurately according to state and federal regulations.

Contribute to medication safety initiatives.
- Document services in a complete, accurate and timely manner.

Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with national accreditation standards.

Maintain professional interactions with patients to facilitate successful patient experiences.

Educate and train students, residents, other caregivers, and/or patients.
- Be accountable for drug use policy adherence.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- PharmD or Bachelor’s of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy

Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible in current state within 90 days of hire

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) and completion of a Board of Pharmacy approved course in the administration of immunizations within 90 days of hire for those administering immunizations
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Completion of a post-graduate year 1 residency (PGY1), fellowship or relevant post-graduate pharmacy experience preferred.

Post-graduate year 2 residency (PGY2) or relevant experience preferred for Clinical Pharmacists hired in a Specialized Pharmacy practice area

Typical physical demands include ability to perform the job while standing and walking for prolonged times, approximately 75% of shift and continuously for extended periods of time.

Manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer and dispensing functions of the job; ability to lift up to 20 lbs.

Pay Range
Minimum Annual Salary: $101,900.00
Maximum Annual Salary: $155,390.00
