Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Credit Fund Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $85.00 to $96.00 per hour.
Oversee fund and corporate accounting activities, including financial close processes, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
Manage investor reporting, performance reporting, distribution calculations, and other fund related financial deliverables.
Monitor and account for complex credit investment transactions, income recognition, financing arrangements, and portfolio activity.
Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, administrators, and legal partners to support compliance and reporting requirements.
Lead system enhancements, process improvements, internal control development, and accounting infrastructure initiatives.
CPA certification is required.
15+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant experience within private credit, specialty finance, real estate debt, or alternative investment environments.
Proven experience managing month end, quarter end, and year end close processes, financial reporting, and audit activities.
Strong understanding of fund accounting, investor reporting, financial statement preparation, and complex investment structures.
Previous experience working with accounting systems, loan servicing platforms, reporting tools, and ERP implementation projects.
Extensive knowledge of credit related assets, lending structures, investment accounting, and portfolio reporting.
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with investors, executives, auditors, and external advisors.
Prior experience designing internal controls, enhancing reporting processes, and implementing workflow automation solutions.
Advanced analytical and problem solving abilities with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Self directed professional with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to lead complex accounting and reporting functions independently.
