We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Associate Veterinarian to join our growing veterinary practice. Monroe Veterinary Clinic is rapidly growing and a well-established small animal practice located in Monroe, Georgia. Applicants must be dependable, highly skilled, motivated, detail-oriented team players with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

- Enthusiastic about surgery and have the basics (spay, neuter, dentistry, tumor removals, etc.)
ESSENTAIL DUTIES:
- Ability to perform all technical duties: Blood draws (cephalic, jugular, lateral and medical saphenous), place IV catheters and perform humane euthanasia
- Vaccinations and Health Exams
- Computer skills and medical record notations
- Offer preventative care including wellness exams
- Ability to provide both cohesive medical care and communication between clients and referring veterinarians
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Maintaining a practical knowledge of the hospital procedures
- The ability to lead a team through variety of cases to best serve our clients and patients
- Provide emergency veterinary critical care when needed, demonstrating quick decision-making and technical proficiency
- Educate pet owners on animal physiology, anatomy, nutrition, grooming, and overall pet care best practices
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time while performing work requiring concentration and manual dexterity
- Lifting dogs and cats of all sizes, bending, stopping, crouching, kneeling, standing/walking on tile floor up to 8 hours a day, writing, balance, twisting, squatting and rotating throughout the day
- Working at a computer for extended periods of time with repetitive typing, arm and hand motion
- Moving animals from the floor, the cage, the exam rooms, ability to lift up to 50lbs and restraining animals up to 80lbs intermittently
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
- License in good standing with Georgia Health Related Boards - GA Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners
- License or applications for license with Drug Enforcement Agency would be preferred

- Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm
- Saturday 8:00am - 12:00pm
Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
