Great job for retiree looking for part time work or someone looking for opportunity to grow into full time.
Main responsibilities will be deliveries. (filling in for vacations doing warehouse as well)
This job will possibly also include a few hours a week(mostly summertime) doing some property maintenance at a different location nearby.
We are a small family business that has been in business over 20 years.
Seeking a part time person to start.
Responsibilities can include:
- Driving making deliveries Laporte county to Chicago
-Receiving, Stock, pick, pack, and ship orders accurately and efficiently(occasionally)
- Perform general warehouse duties, including organizing inventory and maintaining a clean work area. Coordinating vehicle maintenance, some easy minor maintenance ie; change a door handle, hang a blind, mowing grass. (occasionally)
Qualifications:
-Experience driving a 16 foot box truck.
-Previous experience in a warehouse or similar role preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50lb
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record( must be excellent)
This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a sometimes fast-paced environment. Great with people and good customer service skills are necessary. The ideal candidate will be flexible with schedule, reliable, punctual, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
