To thrive in this position, candidates should hold:
- A valid, current license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC certification required)
- Experience working in a school-based setting, preferably with K-5 students
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Expertise in developing IEPs, conducting assessments, and tracking student progress
In this role, you will:
- Provide direct and consultative speech/language therapy services to K-5th grade students
- Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with special education staff and families
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine student needs and eligibility
- Document progress, maintain thorough records, and participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other specialists to support student goals in the educational environment
