Duties
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and observe patients’ health status, including vital signs and overall condition
- Administer medications and treatments following medical documentation and home health regulations
- Support patients with specialized needs such as dementia care, Alzheimer's care, hospice care, and end-of-life support
- Maintain accurate medical records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and ensure compliance with HIPAA privacy standards
- Assist with catheter care, wound management, and other medical procedures as trained
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping tasks like cleaning and laundry to promote a safe living environment
Requirements
1. HHA Certification of 40 hours or more OR CNA License from the State of Florida
2. Current CPR Certification (American Heart Association, Red Cross, or Health & Safety Institute). Online CPR certification is not accepted.
3. CEU Certificates:
Assistance with Self Administered Medication - 2 hours or more
HIV/AIDS - 1 hour or more
Domestic Violence - 1 hour or more
Alzheimer/Dementia - 3 hours or more (including 1 hour video from DOEA + 2 hours or more from an approved training site, please DOEA website for information)
4. Permanent Resident ID or Work Authorization ID (if applicable)
5. Professional Certificate of Insurance with Liability Coverage
6. Social Security Card
8. Current Driver’s License or ID Card
9. Current Car Insurance (if applicable)
10. Physical Exam within 5 months old or less. Must state you are FREE OF COMMUNICABLE DISEASE.
11. COVID Vaccination Card (collected if available, but not required)
12. Level 2 Background Screening
