American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist with at least 2 years of OR experience for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment in an active, high-volume operating room environment.

Acute care hospital OR setting with 7 surgical suites averaging 15–20 cases per day
-
Common case types include high-volume orthopedics (including total joints), general, GYN, peds, and eyes; travelers will not be assigned to cardiac cases
-
8-hour shifts with variable start times; schedule is determined by the manager
-
No floating required

One weekend of call per month and one call night per week required for CSTs; 30-minute call response time required

Holiday coverage is only required in emergency situations

Scrubs are provided by the facility

Cerner SurgiNet is used as the EMR
-
Minimum 2 years of OR/surgical technologist experience required

CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification required; pending certifications will not be accepted

BLS certification required; pending certifications will not be accepted

Active state or compact (NLC) license if applicable; pending licenses will not be accepted

Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Travel experience is preferred but not required

Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered
