About This Role
At New Viva MD, we believe transformation is possible — and we need a passionate Medical Assistant to help our patients experience exactly that. You'll work directly alongside Dr. Arpita Surkunte, MD (Board-Certified in Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine) in a fast-growing, physician-led practice focused on medical weight loss, GLP-1 therapies, hormone optimization, and body contouring.

What You'll Do
- Greet and room patients with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care
- Assist Dr. Surkunte with clinical exams, procedures, and treatment plans
- Administer GLP-1 and other weight-loss injections under physician supervision
- Perform vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, and point-of-care testing
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain clinical supplies
- Document patient encounters accurately in the EMR system
- Educate patients on medication protocols, lifestyle guidance, and follow-up care
- Support body contouring and aesthetic treatment sessions
- Coordinate seamlessly with front desk staff and our virtual assistant team
What We're Looking For
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA / RMA) or equivalent clinical training — required
- 1+ year of clinical experience preferred; strong new grads with clinical rotations welcome
- Phlebotomy and injection administration skills
- Genuine passion for patient wellness, weight loss, and preventive health
- Positive, high-energy attitude — our patients need champions, not just caregivers
- Excellent communication skills and comfort with technology and EMR systems
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a strong plus
- Reliable, punctual, and team-first mindset
