Duties
- Safely transport prepared food from the kitchen to designated tables, ensuring presentation quality and temperature are maintained.
- Assist servers by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and resetting for new guests to promote a clean and welcoming environment.
- Handle food with care, adhering to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures during transportation.
- Support kitchen staff with light food preparation tasks when needed, such as garnishing or portioning ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness in service areas through regular cleaning and sanitation of trays, carts, and work surfaces.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS to coordinate timely service.
- Practice safe manual handling techniques during heavy lifting or movement of large trays or equipment to prevent injury.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant operations, or hospitality environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow safe lifting practices consistently.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with team members and interact positively with guests.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Familiarity with banquet service, culinary tasks, or hotel guest services is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and customer service.
