Case Management Specialist — Dallas Office Refuge House, Inc. | $50,000/year | Full-Time | In-Person
Join a Mission That Matters
At Refuge House, we believe every child deserves safety, stability, and the chance to be deeply loved. As a faith-based foster care and adoption agency, we walk alongside children and families through some of life's hardest moments — guided by Christ's example of compassion, hope, and unwavering care.
We're looking for a Case Management Specialist to join our Dallas team. If you feel called to serve vulnerable children we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
As a Case Management Specialist, you'll be the steady presence in a child's foster care journey — coordinating services, supporting foster families, and making sure every child in your care has what they need to heal and thrive.
Your work will include:
- Building meaningful relationships with children, foster families, and caregivers
- Conducting regular home visits and face-to-face check-ins with the children on your caseload
- Developing and carrying out individualized service plans rooted in trauma-informed care
- Coordinating medical, dental, educational, and behavioral health services
- Partnering with DFPS/SSCC caseworkers, attorneys, CASA volunteers, and our clinical team
- Preparing court reports, attending hearings, and providing testimony when needed
- Supporting foster parents through training, encouragement, and crisis response
- Maintaining timely, thorough documentation that meets all regulatory requirements
- Participating in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies
Who We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related human services field
- At least 1 year of experience in child welfare or a related field (preferred)
- A heart for foster care and a desire to serve children and families with excellence
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Trauma-informed mindset and the ability to stay grounded in difficult moments
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with court deadlines and shifting priorities
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screening
Training We Provide
We invest in our team. You'll complete training in Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), our evidence-informed treatment model, CPR/First Aid, and all required Texas Minimum Standards courses — fully supported every step of the way.
